We are delighted to announce the appointment of Positive Money’s new Co-Executive Director
We are delighted to announce that Positive Money’s board has appointed Sara Hall as a new Co-Executive Director of Positive Money’s UK office, joining current Co-Executive Director Paul Delaney.
Sara will take up the role at the end of April, following four and a half years at Tax Justice UK, a leading campaign organisation working towards a fair and effective tax system, where she is currently Deputy Director for External Affairs. At Tax Justice UK Sara has helped build the organisation and its movement and advocacy work, and led work securing significant changes to government tax policy during her time. Previously Sara worked at the International Secretariat of Amnesty International, Stonewall and Save the Children.
Sara will take over this Co-ED role from Fran Boait, who stepped down from the post in October 2024 following 11 years in the organisation. Sara will jointly lead the organisation with current Co-ED Paul Delaney, who has been at Positive Money since 2017, and Co-ED since 2022.
Our board, and Paul, congratulate Sara on her appointment, which comes following a detailed and thorough recruitment process. We are excited to work together with Sara in Positive Money’s next phase of development, at a time when our work is more relevant than ever.
Sian Williams, Chair of Positive Money UK’s board said:
“Sara impressed us at every stage of the recruitment process, demonstrating she has the skills, experience and passion we were looking for to co-lead Positive Money UK into our next chapter. It was particularly important to us that our new Co-ED actively embraces shared leadership and redistributing power, not just in words but in actions, and Sara clearly embodies these values. I’m excited to welcome Sara as Co-ED and look forward to working with her in partnership with Paul Delaney.
On behalf of the whole Positive Money board, I also want to say a huge thank you to Fran Boait, whose vision for modelling a fairer economy included establishing our shared leadership model. I know that our new co-leadership team and our board are committed to continuing to champion her vision.”
Paul Delaney, current Co-Executive Director of Positive Money UK said:
“I’m delighted to have Sara Hall join us as our new Co-Executive Director. Sara has achieved a huge amount at Tax Justice UK, and I’m really pleased to have such a capable and effective leader join me as Co-ED. I’m excited about leading the organisation together with her in the future, and about what we can achieve together with our fantastic team of staff and board directors.”
Sara Hall, incoming Co-Executive Director of Positive Money UK said:
“I am absolutely delighted to join Positive Money UK as Co-Executive Director soon. I have long admired the work of Positive Money advocating for a redesign of our economic system for social justice and a livable planet, and the impact the organisation has had on a wide range of areas such as green central banking, the future of money, and rethinking our macroeconomic framework. I am also thrilled to be working alongside Paul Delaney as Co-Executive Director. I had always hoped to one day be able to work in a co-leadership model and I am delighted that I will now be able to do so thanks to Positive Money’s visionary work establishing this leadership structure.”
