Our latest 3-year review report, covering our work for the period April 2020 – March 2023 is now available.
We regularly send updates to our supporters, funders, and other stakeholders, but our annual review documents are a chance to take stock of our work over a longer period of time, and reflect on all our achievements together.
We’re really proud of our impact during this time: helping to bring about a new green mandate for the Bank of England, being a leading civil society voice on the future of our payments system, and exposing and challenging the influence of the finance sector lobby. We continued to collaborate with new partners on joint campaigns, including at key moments for influence such as COP26.
Like most organisations, we had to adapt our ways of working for COVID-19 during this time. The pandemic, an ongoing climate crisis, rising inflation, and a cost of living crisis, also prompted many people to fundamentally question how our economy works and whose interests the economy serves. This presented opportunities for us to increase our impact through reactive work on the response to these crises from policymakers.
We also adopted a new five year strategy at the start of 2021 that gave us greater clarity and ambition on our vision and purpose. Anti-oppression is foundational to our mission, and throughout this period we’ve been working to embed it in everything we do, including our strategy, our analysis, our campaigns and projects, and our internal operations. Positive Money also developed further as an international organisation during this time. Our EU office has gone from strength to strength with an expanded team, and our new US office began taking our vision across the Atlantic.
Please make yourself a cup of tea and have a read of the full report here. The review describes our impact across a range of core topics, as well as summarising how we work to achieve change, our international development and our finances and funding.
We’re very grateful to all the supporters, donors, funders, and partner organisations we’ve worked with during this period that have helped to make our work possible. We could not do our work without you, so thank you for everything that you do.
We look forward to bringing about even greater impact in the coming years, as we continue to re-imagine money, banks and the economy for the wellbeing of people, communities and the planet.
