Do you know where money comes from? (NEW Video)

by Positive Money

We went to ask young people a few questions about money.

Our broken money money system hits young people the hardest.

High house prices, pushed up by bank lending, leave first time buyers struggling to on the property ladder. Students are leaving higher education under ever increasing mountains of debt. Unemployment across europe, shot up after the financial crisis, remains highest among young people.

The money system lies at the heart of all of these problems – and yet most people have no idea how money is created and the impact this has on society.

So, we went to ask young people on the street.

How many do you think knew the right answer? Watch the video and find out if you are right!

We need everyone to understand how money is created and the impact it has on society. To do this we need your help. Can you share this video online and send it to family and friends?
