The Money Commission amendment will be debated in Parliament

We have just heard that the Money Commission amendment will be debated in Parliament next Tuesday- on the 19th April.

Thousands of us emailed our MPs asking for their support – and it has paid off! This is a major breakthrough – but there is still a lot of work to be done.

We have just a few days to build support for a Money Commission in Parliament. We need to know if your MP is planning on attending the debate and will be adding their name to the amendment.

Will you send a follow up email to your MP? This is a chance to let them know the debate has been scheduled and to ask for their assurance that they will be there.

As we have already seen, if we act together we can bring about change.

If enough MPs back the Money Commission amendment, it will be included in the Bank of England bill and a commission will be set up.
