Interview with Ben Dyson – What is the Main Flaw with the Banking System

On Regulations, Basel III:
“Basel III is like the government requiring all cars to have airbags and than saying “now we can turn off the traffic lights, because everybody is protected.”
How long have we got?
“The economy and the banking sector right now is on a life support machine and it depends on how long the government can afford to keep that machine switched on…”
On Social Banking Movement:
“It’s really important that banks are more socially responsible and beneficial… The more we can have social and ethical banking growing – the better, but we also need a fundamental reform of banking system, because the big banks have so much power that no matter how much ethical banking we have, those banks will cause huge amount of harm and we have to stop them doing that.”
