We are pleased to have published our Positive Money Europe Report for 2022/23/24. This report looks at the work we have done, as an organisation, from January 2022 until December 2024.
This period marked major growth for Positive Money Europe - not just in terms of our work, but in the team behind it. That group of people published ten pieces of original research that looked at redesigning the economic system to benefit both people and the planet. We also broadened our focus to address deep-rooted inequalities, diving into how race, gender, and class shape people’s economic realities.
Over these three years we developed our partnerships with organisations including WWF, Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Veblen Institute. We also continued to play a leading role within a coalition of like-minded organisations. A real highlight was our Unlock campaign that saw us lead a high profile cross-European coalition. It saw us deliver a petition to the EU institutions that called for them to unlock the finance needed to renovate homes across Europe and protect households against future energy price shocks.
Furthermore, during this time we expanded how we communicate our messages - at a time when it’s becoming more and more important for there to be awareness of the urgent need to change. Our work made waves in influential spaces - from a letter in Le Monde (followed shortly by President Macron himself addressing green finance) to open letters signed by respected voices like Paul de Grauwe.
Our media presence has grown too. There has been creative evolution in our social media, with regular news updates and behind the scenes insight on Tiktok, Linkedin, Facebook and X. Our messaging and team members were also heard often in leading international media outlets including Politico Europe, Euractiv, BBC News and Bloomberg.
And all of this in just three years!
We hope that you enjoy finding out more of what we have been doing in this triennial report.
As always, we are grateful to all our supporters and funders and look forward to us all working together to achieve positive change in the years to come.
