Danisha Kazi

Danisha joined Positive Money in May 2020 as our Senior Economist. She has a Master’s in Development Economics and PhD in Economics from SOAS University which included fieldwork based in India. Her PhD thesis developed a political economy critique of the labour market flexibility debate through a case study of informalisation of labour in India’s automotive sector since liberalisation. She has worked as a Senior Teaching Fellow at SOAS lecturing in heterodox economics. Her research interests include macroeconomics, political economy of industrial labour, labour market inequalities, the role of the state, and capitalist development.
