Leslie has spent more than 30 years working to harness human ingenuity to protect our natural world. Currently she is the Executive Director of the Salazar Center for North American Conservation at Colorado State University. The Salazar Center activates next generation conservation leadership, thinking, and action to restore and sustain our natural world for future generations. Formerly, Leslie was Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Democracy Collaborative. From 2015-2020 she was a co-founder and Director of Partners for a New Economy, an international donor collaborative working to repurpose our economic system so that it prioritizes ecological health and human wellbeing. Prior to this she worked on climate change and marine conservation issues at the OAK Foundation. Leslie serves as Board Chair of Oil Change International.
